The power of testimonials – There is nothing quite like knowing you’ve done a good job. Word of mouth marketing is very powerful; particularly in Cumbria. Customers and clients, look for people and businesses that they can trust, who they know will do a good job and give good value for money. If someone has told them about you or your business, they are generally more likely to engage with you.
If you can show potential customers case studies and testimonials from happy clients it can really help you market your business. It shows a good track record, gives information about why people like working with you and hopefully encourage a customer to make an enquiry.
Testimonials can come in all forms.
If you do project work, why not write a bit about it in a case study. Tell people what you did, how you did it and what the results were. This helps customers relate actual experience to their own situation. It also shows you have good experience of different areas and shows evidence of this.
Perhaps someone has said something nice about you, sent you an email with some great comments in, or a thank you card? Then pick out key elements of what they’ve said about you and use it in your marketing.
Reviews have really taken off online in recent years with website such as Trip Advisor. Think about asking customers to review your business or products online. Google Reviews are a great place to start (and can also help your search ranking), or perhaps you have a Facebook page, where you can get some good reviews.
Whichever form of testimonial suits your business then use them in your marketing. People trust public opinion. If they are comparing your business, product or service to others and they have some good testimonials and reviews to guide them then they are more likely to use you!
