A celebration of Cumbria awaits Penrith Building Society members
Members, who attend Penrith Building Society’s Annual General Meeting, will once again be greeted with an array of talent, as well as the usual business items on the agenda. The AGM will take place on Wednesday 20th April at 5.30pm at Rheged and the team at Penrith Building Society welcomes all members and friends to attend and find out more about Penrith’s award winning society.
In 2015 guests were treated to fabulous contemporary dance performances by students from Ullswater Community College. Once again the Society is delighted to be welcoming students from the school to perform songs from ‘Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat’.
The AGM will also be an opportunity for members to gain free VIP access to an exhibition by local photographer Ian Lawson, ‘Harris Tweed: From the Land’, exploring the Outer Hebrides and the production of Harris Tweed cloth.
Amyn Fazal, CEO of Penrith Building Society comments,
“The ethos of Penrith Building Society is really about being part of the community, so we feel that our AGM should reflect this. Of course we will be discussing and presenting our annual financial statements and business achievements from the past year, but it is also an opportunity for us to meet members, form new relationships and showcase some of the fine talent we have in the local area. We welcome members and guests alike to find out more about what we do and who we are.”
The AGM coincides with the news that the Building Society has been shortlisted in the 2016 What Mortgage Awards as the Best Local Building Society and encourages members of the public to vote for them online before the closing date of 19th June.
